Always looking for a good diesel shop/performance shop/etc. For example, Lee and I are researching programmers. A place to go 'kick the tires".

What about Ideal on 60? Been there a few times, but they seem a little high.

Ideal is a great shop!!! There highly reputable in the truck community. Most everything i've bought aftermarket that wasn't MOPAR for my truck's and our F350 came from there. They hooked me up with a $1500 set of smoke stack's for $1100. Alot of it came from my place of Employment but alot of it was cause I was there with cash.

Check em out man. There a good solid shop with top notch work.

What Kevin said is exactly correct...they stood up Tampa Jax Wax Riverview show, and were assholes at wiregrass. However, I don't know if the two guys at wiregrass were Twisted Metal people or customers of Twisted Metal.

I have dealt with Ideal a few times over the years and have been most satisfied with them. I recommend you deal with Q, he has been more than fair with purchases I've made, and work I've had done there. Everything was for a previous gas truck though, not Big Girl. However, I do not know their involvement with diesels and/or working on them.

Yes, Steven Auza is the owner. This is from their website.

Steven Auza a native of Arizona grew up offroading in the deserts, sand dunes, and mountains of Arizona and Southern California while working on his families farm till he joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 2000. After serving almost 9 years active duty, he followed his dream of turning his weekend hobby into a career. Steven is our shop owner, shop manager and welding fabricator. As a veteran, Steven requires the utmost respect from his employees and his leadership and attention to detail has helped give Twisted Metal Offroad the outstanding reputation it currently possesses.

His pic is on the website, and he ain't the bleached hair dude.

They buy stuff from us all the time. But I won't do business with them. There stroker's.Actually if I recall correctly, I've never once bought anything from you, but since you say I have, go ahead and show me the reciept from where I did.

Twisted Metal, I like the name. Thanks, that was one of the hardest parts of opening the shop... coming up with a name!

Smitty, translated for us older guys, it means they are "jerk off's" and not to be trusted.I've been doing this for years and as far as I know, don't have any customers that don't trust me. I helped open the 4WP store in Tampa back in 2006, worked there three years, then Steve and I opened Twisted Metal Offroad, and I still have many returning customers of mine from 4WP. Everyone makes mistakes and I'm sure I haven't done everything perfect, but I have tons of repeat customers that don't ever complain... I have customers all the way to California that buy parts from me, want their #'s to call them and ask them about me? I don't rip people off, ask anyone who actually knows me, not someone who just "hears stuff" on the internet. I do my best to give people the best prices possible. Alot of times, people want stuff for next to nothing, and I'm sorry, but I have bills to pay too, it's not like I get the parts for free!

I think they are the ones who stood up jax wax at the riverview show amd I think they are the ones who were assholes at the laat rwiregrass show saying my tires on ramit werent street legal...
Actually im pretty positive thats who they are...
Ill never do any type of business with them...
First off, I didn't stand them up. I had a funeral and wasn't able to make it, but I still paid my dues for the show like I said I would, it's not like I completely stood them up and ignored them/didn't pay, because I did. Sorry, but a funeral of a family member is a little bit more important than a car show. My partner Steve was in Arizona on vacation, that's why he couldn't make it. Second, I had one employee there at the wiregrass show, and the other two were customers. I can't help what customers say, I have no control over that. However, if my employee said something he shouldn't have, I'm sorry about that. I don't see why someone would argue about tires not being street legal, we all enjoy the aftermarket stuff, and alot of the aftermarket stuff these days aren't street legal, so why argue over it?

We have actually took in some of Twisted Metal client and FIXED there vehicle's the way they should have been done the first time. My tech's said there were more loose bolt's under the front of thise guy's F350 that he had finger's and toe's.Oh really, which customers were these, because I definitely call BS on that. I've had one truck in the last two years come back with a loose bolt, and it was a loose track bar bolt on a 05 Dodge 2500, but again, everyone makes mistakes, we're human.

Always looking for a good diesel shop/performance shop/etc. For example, Lee and I are researching programmers. A place to go 'kick the tires".
What about Ideal on 60? Been there a few times, but they seem a little high.If you ever need any help or advice with diesel stuff, let us know and we'll help you find what is best for you.

There a good solid shop with top notch work.I'm not one to bash other shops, but Ideal has told many people that Twisted Metal Offroad is going out of business. I have absolutely no intentions to go out of business. I am booked two weeks solid with work and it's been like this since for six + months, and it's not chrome accessories and nerf bars like Ideal does. It's diesel conversions, diesel repair, custom fabrication, lift kits, leveling kits, tires/wheels, etc. We actually do other stuff besides bolt on stuff from a catalog. Oh, and I wouldn't call $1100 a hook up, that is about going price, if not, a little high, for a turbo back stack kit.

However, I do not know their involvement with diesels and/or working on them.Yes, they were just customers and one employee. Also, Q doesn't work at Ideal anymore, he's been gone for a while. As far as I know, Ideal doesn't do any diesel work, just bolt on stuff from catalogs, spray in liners (not LineX), and toppers.

Yeah they looked like Douches at the Wiregrass show, I didnt know about the tire thing, but I remember they had bigger tires than Kevin so If they told him his werent legal they their's arent either.I'm not sure who Kevin is or what he drives, but the tires on my truck are 40's, and yes, my tires are legal.

^ No Daniel, the Ford had smaller tires than Kevin's if I recall correctly. They had 38's and Kevin's are 39.5's, which is why they got pissy. I wasn't there, but I highly doubt someone got mad over someones tire size... we're not in high school anymore. Mine are 40x15.50R22's on 22x14's if it really is that big of a deal...

Yea, mine were bigger and he got all bent out of shape...
and them guys were Twisted Metal...
The freaky dude with the bleach blonde hair is the owner if I recall and he drove the H1No he is not the owner, he is a customer and does our website, but yes, he drives the white H1.

I had an altercation with him and his cronie. He drives a lifted F350 that say's "real trucks dont have spark plug's". They work there. No, the truck you are talking about is a friend/customer, he does not work here.

The blonde faggot is just a co-owner. The old man run's the joint.Lance is not a co-owner. He is a customer and does our website (which is under contruction right now). The "old man" is Phil, he is our main mechanic.

Man - I live in NC and don't want to run into those guys. Thanks for the heads up.We're not as bad as all these internet badasses are saying we are.

I have talked to them about their used tires...they do have good deals on them. Thanks, I have tons of used tires here and try and always give people good deals on them because how expensive new tires are.

I think the owners name is SteveYes, Steve and I (Will) are the two owners.

To me that looks like it is setup more for pulls than for mud.No, I dont use my truck for pulls or mud. It is a daily driver and every now and then it goes to the track.

If anyone has any questions, you can call me on my cell at 813-365-1024 or at the shop at 813-622-6570.

I just didnt know what was said....I was in a meeting when I happened to check and saw Will's multi-response and couldnt get to it right away to read it.

Things can go 180 degrees in the wrong direction at the drop of a hat, and I just wanted to make sure things were ok.

I personally dont know Will, but I know a lot of people that would have joined and read the comments in this thread and would not have handled it as adult as Will did...and for that, I thank you Will...

We are a tight knit group, more like family than a club/forum. And as such, we tend to look after one another. In being that way we seemed to have jumped the gun, in hindsight.

Hopefully we can all move past this with no hard feelings, and, you will stick around for a fair shot.

oh and smitty, i wish we all got paid, we dont charge for memberships, our charge for vendors is minimal, we never created this board to be a money maker like other forums.....all though we do ask for donations once in a while for certain things, and we are still in the works for supporting members, which that money would be turned right back into forum stuff like sponsoring awards at local shows, and doing shows to get our name out there, along with website maintainence...so please recruit members the more the better....
