That is a old school chart as stated it's calculations are for 1:1 top gear. Our transmissions have two overdrives with the final gear ratio a .67. So a little math is needed to accurately use the chart. But the basic rule of thumb has been stated to be 33" and taller tire use 4:56. Smaller than 33" use 4:10. If you tow a heavy trailer use 4:56. If you have 3:92 gear and you want more gear go to 4:56. I personally run 30" tires and choose 4:10's and wish I'd gone with 4:56. The Chrysler engineers clearly got their gear strategy wrong. I have never heard of anyone say they didn't like the gear change when done. I believe it is clearly recognized as one of the best mods for our trucks we can do, good luck...
