Yeah we felt it here in High Point, NC. It only lasted a few seconds. Pretty weird though.

Apparently it hit here some although we were in the car and felt nothing. Some locals told us that they had felt it however.

i was sitting in the shop when it happened and everything around the shop started moving but it didn't really bother me I guess 12 yrs in the navy tought me some good sea legs, did your daughter get upset?

man you guys are having it rough this week, first earthquake now hurricane. it is my dream to live in virginia beach. i have been in all of the continental 48 and that was my favorite place. you guys stay safe over there

It's going to less than a good time this weekend with Irene coming through. They are calling this the storm of a 100 years. My daughter's family and friends are coming out to central virginia to visit me. I just hope they have something to return to when this all passes.
