I dunno Jay, I agree that a 4x4 should NEVER go down, but I got some good buddies who live on farms who have 4x2s who would bottom out in the fields if they were not lifted and running larger/more aggressive tires (and even a few with true lockers in the rear).

So there are times I can see a lifted 4x2...

hey my parents have a farm in brooksville, my buddy has a farm and ive actually pulled out numerous 4x4's out from being stuck...lol

Dont knock on a lifted 4x2....

4x4s are fun, i had one, and they are expensive to fix....

The key there is knowing when to STOP and unload the four wheeler

I honestly dont see why anyone would lower a 4x4, to me thats just pointless, although there are some cars that are 4x4 that are built for speed and not offroading, just like the Jeep SRT8, thats a 4x4 but you wouldnt lift that. But honestly i think 4x4 trucks should be lifted, ask for 4x2s, they do look much more sporty lowered. I know many people dont agree with lowering trucks because they loose their functionality but i disagree if you do it the right way.
