When I had it I recorded a highway mileage of 22.7 between Homestead, FL and Key West. That was 130+ miles at 55mph. Long trips at 70mph I record around 19.5-20 mpg. Around town I get 15.5-17mpg. Mine is also a RC/SB 2wd with a 318 though.

It has gotten so that a CAI is a mandatory mod. They don't make a hugh difference alone, but makes for a great supporting mod. Well done..

The only way I see a body lift being an issue is the way the filter housing is mounted. It's attached with two jack nuts into the inner fender. With a big enough body lift, it could angle the intake tube enough to prevent it from making a good seal at the throttle body

^ Smitty, did your S & B give you more turbo whistle and air whooshing sounds?
Is it an open bottom or does it come with a down tube for air intake?
Is this a brand Rich @ Doghouse recommends as one of his favorites?

No, on the whistle. You could hear the turbo more, or air or combination of both. Not loud enough to be obnoxious. I do not even notice it anymore.
It is open bottom. I can't remember if there was a bottom scoop for mine or not.
Yes, Rich recommended. Suppose to be the best at cleaning air. Think it may also do with how much horsepower or future mods you want.
