Lee, the hid low halogen high hid kits only need cap packs to work properly on our truck. Resistors will be for lowbeam hid only or bixenon kits. I know the hidextra kits that are hid low halogen high come with cap pacs if you tell them in the notes what truck you have. 60 bucks for those. But if you want the bixenon you will have to wire up the resistors.

Jay, if you buddy wants to get things rolling. He can buy the resistor harness premade or make them himself like i did. I think I made min for like 15bucks buying stuff off ebay.

P.S. for anyone wanting the link to the resistor premade heres the link: http://www.carhidkits.com/wiring-ada...-pack-378.html

Hi, signed up on this forum just to ask you a question. Mine is flickering on and off and my bulbs have a green tint to them. Anything you dealt with before. Never knew of the resistor trick un till now. Searching around your name 03rammer came up alot. Figured I'd ask. Can I buy these somewhere maybe from you? Thanks geoff

Welcome Geoff, As far as the flickering on and off. Yes the resistors trick is for this problem along with others. Basically in a nutshell its one resistor per low beam and one per high beam. All your doing is tricking the truck/car computer as to thinking there is a a good working 50/55 watt bulb in place.

The green tint I'm not sure, maybe if the bulbs have been touched your oils on the bulb is causing it to act up, be careful they could blow up with your oils burning on the bulb.

If you want to just buy them pre made check this site out. I thought I posted this on the first page but anyways.

Again welcome and hope to see some pics of your ride!
