Well since you painted the lights to match I would put them outside. If the lights were black I would say put them behind the grille, that way they were hidden. Also remember behind the grille you will have some light output obstruction. Just my .02cents

Plus drilling 2 holes will be alot easier than welding or making brackets etc.

You're exactly right...I am starting to lean towards mounting them on the bumper, so all my Duplicolor skills can be viewed....

or you goto home cheapo grab a 3' whatever the length is angle iron shaped like a "L" stretch it from core support to core support, drill a few holes and bolt it onto the truck and then mount the lights behind the grill to the angle iron....

cant do that...the thickness of the a/c evaporator coil is the same thickness as the core support rails...I have to use "L" brackets only...no room for anything in front of the evaporator coil...I have never seen an evap coil as big as this one...

I recommend using a self drilling screw to drill the hole it will drill quickly cheap to replace and will not go threw the metal more than 1/8 inch so no puncture cause the threads stop it

Okay fellas, the decision has been made to bull bar this dirty girl...the lights will be mounted to it...now...chrome or black? I am thinking chrome, cause I like chrome.

It's actually Claret Red Pearl Metallic...thinking about it, black would stand out better than the chrome would, seeing as we have HUGE chrome bumpers....
