Thanks! I took them apart using the oven to loosen the adhesive. Scuffed up all the chrome really good and the orange markers. Sprayed a few coats of etching primer and then some matched paint and clear. I was actually surprised how well they turned out. I am still going to smoke the lens soon, but only slightly. About a year after i bought the truck new both lenses started flaking. It looks like the protective coating coming off, i guess from heat?. I'll just have to sand that all off before i do it. I'm actually putting back together a 99 Yamaha R6 in my free time, so i plan on doing it when i get done with the bike. Hoping that will be soon.

Yeah that would be nasty but i have the 4.7L and i've heard too many horror stories with the 4.7L and forced induction. The only way to be peace at mind is to put money into the internals. Right now i'm holding out for cams and getting the heads ported and polished. Hoping that'll help it out.
