Ok everybody I need some help. Thinking of painting the engine cover but not sure what colors. Was thinking like a hemi orange but not sure how well that would go with a black truck or I was thinking of doing a black and red to go along with the R/T badge. What do you guys think? Throw out your own ideas too

Tuning really needs to come out for the 2011s. Not a big fan of 3000 rpm at 80 mph cause I have to have it in 5 to stop mds from turning on

I think it will look good. Got a few engine pieces painted Hemi orange and my exterior is Black with some Red. That said i am going to lose the exterior Red and go with Hemi Orange (Hood Scoop, Calipers)

Pls explain what you are saying. What I understand is the R/T has a 4:10 gear and 31" tall tires. How are you turning 3k at 80 mph?

I'm manually shifted into 5 which raises the rpm. I do this because mds still kicks in at 80 and makes drone horrible. And I'm running a 32" tire, 285 45 22

I thought the R/T's had a 5 spd auto and 2012 will have the 6 spd. So you have a 6 spd?

I have a 5 speed. You can manually select gears and to make sure mds doesn't turn on you put it in 5

Sorry, I'm not following how putting in 5th (high) gear is raising RPM at cruise unless it is unlocking the torque converter. But still the R/T converter is something like a 2400 stall, which still wouldn't get 3k at 80.

Greg I'll try to get a buddy to take a pic when I'm driving later today and post it up

Cool, I don't cruise at 80, a video would be great.
