As folks generally can tell by looking at Red I like a little of the old school mixed with new. Shaving the antenna, grille and tailgate. The tailgate was a straightup deal ie reverse the handle and weld a plate to fill the hole. But the problem is to get an area that large to be contoured with the rest of the tailgate.
It took two body shops to get it the way I like it.
The antenna was easier as a piece of metal was pulled into place from the bottom and then welded. For the radio to work I installed a powered signal amplifier under the dash.
The grille is still being worked on with 2011 cross being sectioned into a spare 03 shell. Here it is with just a shaved emblem and billet grille inserts.
I really enjoy making the old girl a little different, mostly in just details but I hope it has an effect on her overall appearance.
Thanks for the support.

Hey gang, last month they had 24 voters. This month we have 13 votes already and we just bagan. Regardless who wins I just hope this month's rides can pull enough interest to hopefully beat last month's turnout. I am sure we all agree it would be great fun to see this site to step up to the next level.

Lee, that is some hitch you have there. Red would have to have her suspension redone just to tote that thing around. Different jobs require different tools. But I bet that would help with wheel spin.... lol
