There was a lot of trenchguns that were part of the various overseas Embassy arsenals. They came on the market in the 80's when there was a general upgrade of weapons. Storytime: back in the day in the 60's 70"s European surplus arms were strapped to pallets and sold by the pound. The price in some areas was based on the going price of a pound of fresh "hot dogs". If you see one of these old guns today they sell for about $150-$250. They were so cheap that the shop owner used pallets of these guns as rebar in the floor of the new gun shop he built.

The Marlin 30-30 has probably killed more deer than any other rifle.

I found what I want, its a Full Size 5" 1911 but in a .22, for shooting junk and targets, you can buy a shit ton of .22 ammo for the price of the big stuff. I handled one at the gun shop yesterday and it has the same weight and feels just like the Springfield .45. The one I want has an olive green finish with the wood handles. Its a nice gun.
