Advice on a 3rd gen cummins?
http://treasure.craigslist.org/cto/2428017640.html
182k miles on it mostly highway. older guy, only owner bought it new, only driver, towed 15k# trailer once.
he worked for a company that did work in other states as well, thats where most of the miles.
4wd was used no more than 10 times, never been off road.
only thing ever replaced on it was left front wheel bearing.

My name is Ram, and I wish I was a 24v cummins.

I'd at least go look at it. 182k isn't too bad on a diesel IF it's been taken care of and routine maintenance has been done on schedule.
There's a couple of guys that come into work with some high mileage cummins that use them for pilot trucks for over size loads. One has over 500k and the other was close to 800k last time I saw him.
OEM Tie rod ends, drag links and front hubs aren't the greatest on them if you use the 4wd or put larger tires on them but if you replace them with moog or something equivalent, you should be good

The guy said he always serviced it every 2500 miles. Ill try to see what his bottom line is. If I can get him to around 7k I'll be happy. He said he needs the money, so well see what happens, I'm not gonna go down there til I have the money. I don't wanna waste gas, nor his time either.
