For all you Ford haters....a little Mopar Flavor!
I picked up a set of '12 Charger SE 17" wheels and tires, and with the assistance of a buddy of mine, Ryan, we threw the new shoes on in the parking lot of the place where I picked them up at. The wheels came with Michelin Energy tires, with 95% life on them, and the whole set has maybe 9k miles on them altogether. I got them for a great deal, a grand total of $350! I gotta say, it is quite a change visually, as well as physically, in terms of ride quality. The car hugs the road better, and that's probably due to the new tires versus my four year old Falken 912's that were on there. Ryan was also kind enough to take some photos and a video or two while driving through the seedier side of Tampa (so seedy, in fact, we passed a group of HCSO Chargers and Vics in the middle of what looked like a murder scene. If Ryan puts that video up, you can see us pass them.
Without further ado......here you go!
These are the wheels as they came out of the warehouse:
Working on one side:
One side done:
And now for some pretty photos all the way around, again courtesy of Ryan:
Here's a pic of Ryan tagging along behind me on the way to grub at McD's:
And for the videos:

At 1:00 in this one, you can see the police cars on the right side of the road. Dunno what happened, but it looked serious. Skip to 2:29 for a drive by of my car by Ryan.

I can't thank Ryan enough for his help and his time spent just hanging out and shooting the breeze. We had a blast, and Ryan enjoyed his time so much, he decided to get a set for himself!
Oh, and ignore the fact that my car and wheels are dirty, and I really don't care that my tag is in the pictures lol.

much better. Didn't know you could use mopar wheels on a ford. Wheels kinda remind me of the Marauder.

Also, a picture of mine and Ryan's car at McD's:
Some of you may have seen his car around Tampa.

The Charger wheels are a direct bolt-on for 98-02 Crown Victorias. There is a slight different in offset, about 12mm, but as you can see from the pictures, you can't tell at all.

At 160k, I don't doubt it. My car has been well used, both by me and by the Broward County Sheriff's Office. The replacement will be a Charger, preferably a Pursuit with a HEMI.

Looks great Alex quite the improvement. Most ford 5 lug pattern are 5 x 4 1/2 which are interchangeable with mopar big bolt and AMC/JEEP i beleve [that is in the older cars].

Yeah, the patterns are really close, off by .7 of a millimeter. Some people that have used them say they have a vibration, but I couldn't feel a thing (aside form the normal, that is). I looked into the Jeep wheels, but the offsets are weird on most of them, as well as the centerbores. I would have had to use adapters, and I don't like them, they can break too easy.
Thanks for the comments!
