HDR is High Dynamic Range.
Its basically taking 3 pictures of the same thing...An over exposed, a normal and a under exposed and then it merges them together so the colors are really vivid, the darks are really dark, and the lights are really light...

Go look back at the first picture...I threw the same shot (non HDR) up to compare
