Removing OEM bump cups
To remove the OEM bump cups is easy. Jack the beast up to give you some room under the truck and turn the wheels to expose the area. Use a screw driver to pop the rubber bumper out of the metal cup. Note: the dealer wants $30 for each. On my 03 there are two small spot welds that hold the cup. I used a grinder to cut the weld that was facing me and then drove a large screw driver under the cup and broke it free. Then ground down the rough edges and sprayed a little paint on it. There is a hole already there for the new polyurethane bump to be bolted into. I think I used 2" bumps and cut the top two landings off of it to give me 1-5/8". Good luck...

I recommend doing this on any 2wd dropped or not. IMO Stock, there is just too little travel.
