HID's in Hella 500's
Finally got around to doing this to mine. Kind of a pita but I think it'll be worth it. Here's a couple of pics of the difference and I'll add some night shots tonight when I can get them aimed again
Little advice. If you have the black magic Hellas like I do, be prepared to hack up the plastic housing on the back of the lights. There's a plastic piece inside the lights that doesn't let the hid bulb sit all the way down in the light so you'll have to use something to seal up the gap to keep it dry inside

Any write up? What hid bulbs did you use? Did you run thicker wire?

I'll work on a write up if you want but I just used one I found online. There are a few good ones out there
I went with an eBay kit for these. They're a xentec brand and seem to be a pretty good quality kit. I've seen a lot worse anyways lol
I'm using the wiring kit that came with the Hellas when I first bought them. The wire is 10 gauge I think that runs to the relay but everything else is 8 gauge

Better safe that sorry. Plus, it's all I had at the time and I'm planning on adding another pair of Hella's up there
