Every year since 9/11, there's a huge motorcycle tribute ride through 11 towns in CT. Last year we heard it (goes right down Main St here and we aren't that far off it) but didn't go to it. So this year we did, and so glad we did!
Here's the website for the ride:

Each town the ride goes through sets up at least one huge American flag, usually situated between two ladder trucks. Trumbull did two. We had trucks from both two companies in town (Long Hill and Trumbull Center), and two local towns that the ride didn't go through (Shelton and Derby). It was a fantastic sight, there were at least 2,400 motorcycles and a few pieces of emergency equipment (just an ambulance or two). Each participating town had police bikes as well, and it looked like each town's police provided the escort as they passed through each place.
It was easily a half hour worth of motorcycles, and at least one Vespa.
Every sort of bike you could imagine, and every sort of person. And one dog. And a couple GoPro's attached to helmets.
And a FDNY Tribute Jeep Wrangler too.

Didn't get a good side or front shot of the other ladder truck, it parked in a subdivision entrance and blocked by trees. It's from the same company as the yellow and white truck. well, neon green lol.
