Default Dashboard Gear Indicator Correction
Legal disclaimer- South East Mopars and myself are NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SCREW UPS, BROKEN PARTS/TOOLS, PROBLEMS, INJURIES AND/OR DEATHS. YOU ARE DOING THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. Just because I did this myself, does not always mean that you can, I still recommend PROFESSIONAL installation. ALWAYS use proper equipment, safety precautions and jacks/jackstands that are rated for the weight of the vehicle or higher.

*Note: This correction works for 1994-1998 Rams, I (004x41500) will make one for the 1998-2002 Rams*

If your tired of looking to see what gear your in and it shows reverse but your in neutral well if your orange indicator is off of were its supposed to be there is an easy fix, and it only takes a couple minutes

Before Pics

1. Take lower dash panel off, the one below the steering wheel
2. On the right side of the steering column you should see a tab sticking out that has a wire with a loop connected to it.

3. After locating this depending on which way your indicator is off, bend tab untill the indicator shows the correct gear, most will need to be bent down just a tad
4. PUT PARKING BRAKE ON
5. Go through the gears and make sure its were you want it
6. Put dash panel back on

After Pics

Thanks to Redheadhunter21 at DF for this DIY.

Ya, it wants to be a 6 cylinder...Cummins that is.
My name is Ram, and I wish I was a 24v cummins.
