One month to go..
The count down has started. I'm finishing the new roof on the house, just got my son's cylinder head back from the machine shop. Torqued it down and need to finish it tomorrow. He really needs to go back to work! lol TV went out and I changed the colour wheel, washing machine quit and I jumped the lid switch. All this at the same time. Man, when it hits the fan it is all at once. Was suppose to be on travel this week in San Diego, but just couldn't break away. Hopefully I'll get everything ship shape and jump over to my home in the Philippines without leaving anything undone here. I am told I have a serious termite problem to contend with in PI. I know I need to change out the clutch on my bike and the Van needs new tires. It really never ends. At least I have better internet there than I do here. Red Horse beer, never ending exploration, Land of smiles has a lot to offer..
Still can't figure out why my wife's dog is loosing all of her hair. I know I'm going to catch hell for that.. Otherwise, Life is good.

Sounds like a vacation to me [except the termites that sucks] i personally like san megel beer. But that was a luxury in Korea only got it when our OV10s came over for excercises brought it back in the rocket pods.

I did get quite of bit of work done on Red this year. Next year will be mostly focused on the transmission/tuning. Time seems to fly by way too fast for my liking. But it'll be good to get back. With the time shift (12 hours) I'll rule the night hours. lol

Bringing back memories there Lou. I was at Okinawa (76-79) and had some good friends on flight crews. Bring in all kinds of brewskis on the C-130's. Ahh, those were the days.
Had OV10's at Patrick was there end of 79.

Storytime: I'm a couple of tours ahead of you guys. Many of the West Pac ship's when rotated back to the states would take one of the main deck compartments and strip it out and load it full of San Miguel Beer and then remove the hatch and weld up the entrance and paint good old haze grey. I'm sure the Custom guys knew about this disception, but no one as far as I know ever mentioned it. The ships would then open the compartment and throw a hugh family picnic. One rule was always followed. The selection of music never included "My Filipino Baby". This rule was broken once in Yokosuka and the band was pushed off the pier by some over sensitive wifes. lol
