Anybody ever had any work done by these guys? They are selling rebuilt A518 transmissions with TC's for $995...I got a quote from another guy in Tampa who owns ProTansmissions in Tampa and he wants $1800+tax to rebuild mine...

okay thanks man....
Im gonna be totally honest with you man, this guy Kevin at Pro Transmissions of Tampa is really looking like who I wanna go with, even though it will cost me more. Here is his site:
http://www.protranserv.com/index.html
This trans isnt something I wanna have half assed and my GUT INSTINCT is telling me to get with Kevin @ Pro Transmission and go with him on getting this trans with me. I have been emailing him back and forth for the last two days too and he is very detailed in his explanations to me and stuff.

I'll be lookin into some trans work to build it up in the future. I have a great deal for myself. Going to buy all the stuff I need at my cost and pay a tech here at my work to do the job. Said he would charge me like 100-200 to build it up.

Check out Monster Transmissions, they are in Brooksville, and are used on Two Guys Garage, Gearz, TruckU, pretty much all the automotive shows on Speed and Powerblock.

They are reasonably priced as well!

The guy that did my trans charged me 500 all i had to do was supply the parts. That includes removing wave washers adding clutches modifing the valve body bringing all shaft tolerances up etc. He does amazing work. He is a certified chrysler master tech and all he does is trannys. If you need info pm me.
