UnderCover R/T Member Join Date: Jan 2011 Location: Croton, NY Name: Art Age: 41 Posts: 987	Need some painting tips - K&N Intake So yesterday my K&N intake arrived. When I got home, I pulled everything out, grabbed the paint and adhesion promoted i used to do the rest of my engine bay, and tried to paint the intake. After 3 coats of adhesion promoter and paint... IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP! When I took it out of the box, it was very greasy and had an oily shine to it. I took some 409 to it to try and get that off, but it was still a little slick. I'm thinkin it looks like that because of the oil residue, or what. I'm thinkin I might head to home depot on the way home, grab some white or grey primer, hit it with a few coats of that, then try the paint again. Anyone else got other suggestions? Thanks
