Default front bumper cover fixed
Ok so since my front sport bumper cover was dented and cracked i wanted to finally fix it.
  • First thing i did was remove the bumper cover.
  • Next i took a heat gun and warmed up the plastic and got it as smooth as possible.
  • After i did that i sanded it down with 80 grit.
  • I then took body filler and applied multiple thin coats.
  • After the first coat of filler it sanded back down with 80 grit.
  • I then applied 2 more thin layers sanding in between with 180 grit.
  • Then i applied a black prime and misted it with white to see the low and high spots.
  • Then i sanded more untill smooth and all white was gone.
  • Next i scuffed up the whole bumper with a red scotch pad.
  • Finally i primed the whole thing with black.
  • I also cut off the bottom spoiler.
  • And i filled the holes from the front licencse plate bracket.

So all in all i have less than $50 buck in supplies and the bumper cover looks good as new. I left it primed for now gonna bedline it and the rockers soon thought.

Supplies needed
Body filler
Sand paper (80, 180 grit)
Red Scotch brite
Primer

Before

During

After

Nice work man! Looks perfect and the bedliner will look sweet, you gonna DIY roll it or have it sprayed?
